Shalini, since 2007, has been leading Human Resources and Corporate Communications at the Group level at Ambit.
She has a vast experience in the field of Human Resources, Business Development and Social & Community Development. A Business Development person with Raytheon in India, she switched to Human Resources as a career of choice and headed Human Resources for Chevron Texaco, Star India (A subsidiary of Newscorp Corporation) and KPMG. During her tenure in Human Resources, she introduced various HR systems and processes related to Policy Formulation, Performance Management, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Compensation and Benefits Programs, Expatriate Remuneration, Employee welfare schemes & plans, Manpower Planning & Sourcing, Learning and Development, Cultural Integration & Change Management, incorporating
Diversity, Corporate Social Responsibility, Human Resource Information Systems, Etc.
She has handled large scale redundancy, including senior level redundancy very effectively. She is also an expert at start-up management. As an HR specialist she has also been a Trainer and an HR Strategic Advisor to the organizations she has worked with. For the first 12 years of her career, she has worked with various governments in
Southern Africa on projects related to the field of education and business oriented community development. She has extensive experience on tripartite partnership projects related to physical disabilities, AIDS and women oriented income generation programs. She is an MBA graduate from Edinburgh Business School, UK and is on the Advisory Board of TRRAIN (Trust for Retailers and Retail Associates of India).
